What Data We Collect

TokenSqueezer is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

Anonymous Device ID — A random UUID generated by the extension for usage statistics. Not linked to your identity.
Compression Statistics — Token counts before/after compression, percentage saved, mode used (L0 or Pro), and the platform domain. No text content is stored in statistics.
Prompt Text (Pro mode only) — When you use Pro mode, your prompt is sent to our server for AI-based compression. The text is processed, the result is returned to you, and the text is not stored on our servers.
License Key — If you purchase Pro, we store a hashed record of your license key and a device binding to prevent abuse. No payment information is handled by us — payments are processed by Ko-fi.

How We Use Data

All collected data is used exclusively for:

Providing and improving the compression service
Aggregate usage analytics (e.g., "L0 vs Pro usage ratio")
License validation and abuse prevention

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising, training, or any purpose beyond the above.

Data Storage

Usage statistics are stored in a SQLite database on our server (Tencent Cloud, Beijing region). Standard security measures apply. Statistics are retained indefinitely in aggregate form; individual session data older than 12 months is automatically purged.

Third-Party Services

Pro mode uses DeepSeek API for AI-powered compression. Your prompt text is sent to DeepSeek for processing. DeepSeek's own privacy policy applies to that leg of data handling. We do not send any personally identifiable information to DeepSeek.

Payments are processed by Ko-fi. We never see or store your payment credentials.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your usage data at any time by contacting us. Since the device ID is anonymous, we will need your license key (if applicable) to locate relevant records.
